role in strengthening the STI services provided by the clinic by:

Increasing the uptakes of STI/RTI
services by the clients and follow-up of clients

Establishing referrals and networking
for expanded STI and HIV care and support

& Responsibilities of a
 
COUNSELLOR

Provide information about STI, HIV/AIDS and
opportunistic infections and to clarify the myths and misconceptions for better
healthy lifestyles, and Help the client to assess their risk for STI and HIV
motivate them to plan for reduction of the risk of getting STI/HIV and AIDS,
Explain and encourage for HIV testing and provide medical kit for STIs and
maintain records etc.
